With this painting, I was experimenting with masking tape to add layers to the water. I've been interested in exploring the use of opaque and translucent color with this work.

My Little Pony Friendship is Magic has a special place in my heart. I combined some characters from MLP with this grimacing face from a Japanese print. These disembodied heads have been popping up in the work a lot. I am not completely sure why. I see them almost like floating memories of judging faces I encounter throughout the day.

This is a self-portrait of my screaming face inside the silhouette of a warrior from a Japanese print. The setting is based on a photograph I took of a striking sunset in my neighborhood.
